How can you help?
The various donation programs

Waiting list donation

There is one more form of donation: the waiting list donation formula. The term actually refers to a specific group of potential parents Ñ the candidate acceptors. These are couples who are unable or do not wish to find their own donor. They are placed on a waiting list and come into consideration for treatment with material from either volunteer anonymous donors or an egg sharing donor as it becomes available.
The availability of volunteer anonymous donors is quite limited. And not every couple is willing to surrender surplus eggs. Apart from that, the egg sharing system also has innate restrictions because not every stimulation course results in a sufficient number of mature eggs to be able to share. It sometimes happens that a candidate acceptor is prepared for an embryo transfer, only to be disappointed a few days before the scheduled procedure because the donor did not produce sufficient eggs for the donation.
This can all lead to a drastic increase in waiting time, sometimes amounting to years.

Because time is often the most crucial element in overcoming infertility, the CRG encourages its waiting list members to play an active role in solving the problem. See Are you a candidate acceptor? For further information.
