Perhaps the reason why you do not want to recruit your own donor is because you do not want to feel obliged to maintain a (lifelong) commitment to a family member or friend. If this is the case,
there is an alternative: exchange donation.
We try to motivate women with their own donor to enter an anonymous donor exchange system, as opposed to known donation. This has two main advantages.
The anonymity of both donor and acceptor is maintained, which is a much more preferable situation. A lot can happen emotionally between people strongly bonded to each other as a result of genetic donation. Over the
years, this delicate situation can lead to conflict and even a breakdown of the relationship.
By far the most important factor of this system is that the acceptor has the right to two treatment attempts using fresh material, provided that the donor, whom they presented, produces sufficient eggs to be
able to donate to two women. In other words, your chances of becoming pregnant are doubled by your bringing a donor into the exchange donation system.
